Double Honors: Wasserbauer Wins Two EuroTier Innovation Awards
A major recognition for Wasserbauer: two of our innovations have each received a EuroTier Innovation Award in Silver for 2026. The winners are the new Barn Buggy cleaning robot and the AFS Dry Matter Sensor for even more precise, automated feeding. Both developments show where the modern barn is heading: more automation, smart connectivity, and less labor.
Barn Buggy: Smart Cleaning in the Barn
The Barn Buggy is an autonomous cleaning robot for walkways and slatted floors. With LiDAR navigation, it finds its own way around the barn, with no magnets, transponders, or other reference markers in the floor. Different areas can be defined individually and cleaned as needed. Because it connects with other systems, the Barn Buggy fits seamlessly into the automated barn.
Dry Matter Sensor: Consistent TMR, Automatically Controlled
The Dry Matter Sensor continuously monitors the dry matter content of the TMR in the mixer. It detects fluctuations in the forage and compensates for them by adding water automatically. This keeps the ration composition more consistent, fully automatically and with no extra monitoring effort.
Another new product at EuroTier is Visual Feed Control, an AI-powered camera and infrared system that continuously detects the amount of feed on the feed alley, regardless of the feeding system in use. It triggers feeding robots, feed pushers, or mixer wagons as needed. The system replaces fixed time schedules and manual checks for leftover feed.
