The quality of the silage is strongly dependent on the type of covering. The special tarp adapts like a skin to the filled silage material. Several hoses are integrated into the tarp. These run lengthwise and limit the covering at the edges. The hoses are filled with rainwater. The expected lifespan of the tarp is up to 10 years. An additional bird protection cover is not necessary.
Protected from all weather influences such as sunlight or rain, high feed quality is maintained. The weight of the filled hoses displaces virtually the last air bubble when settling. Losses are thus reduced to a minimum. Experience shows that a perfect seal has a very positive influence and optimizes the fermentation process in the feed clamp.
Using geothermal heat, the water in the hose chambers is reliably protected from frost. Alternatively, salt can also be added to the water. In new construction, hoses can optionally be laid under the feed clamp floor; the water is also tempered by geothermal heat and then circulates in the hose system of the tarp.
In this variant, the silage extraction system Lift independently controls the opening and closing of the cover on the Cabrio. The Lift then takes over the feed extraction fully automatically. The device mills the feed from the feed stock in the silo and fills a SHUTTLE ECO feeding robot, which brings it directly to the animals. The forward-looking complete solution of CABRIO, LIFT and SHUTTLE ECO is operated purely on e-mobility and is also characterized by low energy costs.
