The roll-up device is installed on the clamp wall with wheels and can be easily moved from the front to the back of the clamp. When silage is deposited in the clamp, the roll-up device reel is lifted or placed to one side using a front loader so that tractors and loader wagons can pass through easily.
The quality of the silage depends a great deal on the type of cover. The special tarpaulin fits like a skin to the silage in the clamp. Several hoses are integrated into the tarpaulin. These run longitudinally and around the edges of the cover.The hoses are filled with rainwater. The service life of the tarpaulin has proven to be more than 10 years in practice. An additional bird protection cover is not necessary.
The hoses in the Cabrio tarpaulin are filled using a pump. The weight of the hoses is perfect protection against all external influences. When rolling up the tarpaulin, the water is pressed out of the hoses and channelled into a water tank recessed in the ground.
Along the edge of the side wall of the clamp the hose features additional reinforcement. Around 80 kg of weight per metre press the tarpaulin onto the silage. This ensures an airtight seal and high feed quality.
The water in the hose chambers is reliably protected from frost using geothermal energy. Alternatively, salt can be added to the water. For new builds, hoses can be also laid under the clamp floor so water heated by geothermal energy can be circulated through the tarpaulin hose system.

Combining the CABRIO clamp cover system with the LIFT silage extractor system is particularly efficient and, together with the Shuttle Eco feeding robot, enables 100% automation of the entire feeding process from the clamp to the livestock.
With this configuration, the Lift silage extractor system controls the opening and closing of the tarpaulin on the Cabrio system, which protects the feed from sunlight and rainwater. The Lift system then takes care of extracting the silage from the clamp, also completely automatically. The Lift cuts the feed from the material in the clamp and sends it to a SHUTTLE ECO feeding robot, which brings it directly to the animals. The future-focused complete solution consisting of CABRIO, LIFT and SHUTTLE ECO is operated purely by e-mobile and is characterised by low energy costs.
